Stanići is one of the resort places of the Omiš Riviera, it's located about 4 km east of Omiš. Its immediate neighbors are Nemira on the western and the Ruskamen part of Lokva Rogoznica on the eastern sides. The village originally settled on the hillside above, then, from the 1960s people started to move down, closer to the sea. Here, in the Tice and Čelina parts of the village, the newly built houses and villas were built with tourism in mind. While the village got closer to sea, the altitude difference is still there for most of the houses - the Adriatic main road runs about 50 meters above the sea level. Getting down to the coast, to the beach usually means stairs or narrow and steep streets.

Stanići's main beach, Velika Luka or Vela Luka is situated on the western side of the village - the gravel and pebble coast stretches hundreds of meters long here. The beach is ended on its eastern side with Cape Punta Tica with tiny moles and short pebbly beach sections occupying the coast east of the cape. The eastern side of Tice and Čelina, as well, has its own gravel beaches, these are small ones, though.

Accommodation in Stanići is provided by a small hotel (Hotel Germania), pansions, villas and private apartments available for rent. The daily needs can be bought in any of the two groceries along the main road, for bigger needs one would get to Omiš. There are a couple of restaurants along the Magistrala, the Adriatic main road and a bar with hot meals serves its guest right on the bach, too.
